Short answers about the product, files, privacy and plans.

The product

Coffered is a web app for interior designers and remodel designers. It turns the 3D model of a project into a client design center: a private page where your client switches finishes in the 3D room, compares up to three options with their prices, reads the plan sets and approves a version.

A client design center is one page per project that holds the room in 3D, every selection category with its options and client prices, a running total, the plan sets, comments and approvals. Homebuilders run design centers as showrooms; Coffered puts one online for each custom project.

No. You keep modeling in the software you use today and upload an export. Coffered presents the model and the options to your client; the plans and specifications still govern what gets built.

Yes. The design center runs in a phone or desktop browser with nothing to install. On a device that cannot show 3D, your client gets a plain list of the same options and prices.

Files and models

GLB, DAE and FBX. SketchUp Pro exports GLB, Chief Architect exports DAE, and Blender exports FBX and GLB. Coffered converts every upload to one compressed GLB that loads in a browser.

Every upload is scanned for malware before it is converted or shown to anyone. Files are stored privately, and the links that load them expire after five minutes.

A model over the size or triangle budget is refused with the reason, so you know what to simplify, such as hidden geometry, high-detail entourage or unused materials.

Clients and privacy

No. Client accounts are always free and unlimited on every plan. Seats are for designers only.

No. Trade price, markup and supplier live in a studio-only table that no client page reads, so a client only ever sees the client price you set.

No. A client account only sees the projects it was invited to. A request for any other project returns not found.

For the life of the project plus seven years. If a studio cancels, its data is deleted 90 days later, after an offer to export it.
